“I wanted to create a way to prevent porch pirates from stealing packages delivered outside your home, so I invented this. My design not only protects packages against theft, but it also keeps them safe during inclement weather.”
Features
- Would be a rectangular box-shaped container that could be offered in a variety of sizes and colors
- Would be produced from metal
- The unit would have built-in cameras, as well as a scanner and keypad to open it, and could also be opened by the owner with a key
- Would be bolted/anchored to the ground outside the residence
- To use, a home/property owner would first anchor the unit to a deck, porch, or ground outside the residence
- When a delivery person brought a package to the residence, they would scan the box to open and place the package inside
- This would ensure the resident’s deliveries/ packages were safely and securely stored and would prevent thieves from stealing them
